An exciting new chapter for me

I don't really like the whole, "New Year, New Me" thing that goes around as soon as Christmas is over and we see in a new year. I feel like I built up such a high expectation of myself when I did that, that when I stopped doing that new year resolution or started up with a couple of bad habits that I swore I'd not do again, everything went to pot.

This year, the new year does feel like a reset and a fresh start, but not necessarily because it's now 2022. I think the whole act of having an almost 2 week break from work and from London has meant that I've had time to slow down, reflect and pick back up good habits that were falling by the wayside in the last few months of 2021. I think, regardless of whether the 2 week break had been in March, July or just before a new year, the break would have still signalled the same thing to me. The chance to get back on the horse and try again. Also, to try something new.

So here it is, a new website I've created, which is very much still a work in progress. As I have now finished the theory part of my diploma studies and I am look to start my case study work that involves me voluntary coaching clients that goes towards me achieving the Diploma in Holistic Life Coaching Skills, I'm excited to start something new.

I already know that this website, how it's set up, the wording of it and even what I've called it are all likely to change, grow and adapt over time as I find my niche within the life coaching world and what I want my focus to be. But this is the start of it and I'm excited to share it.

I'm also excited that I am due to start my masters conversion in Psychology at the end of January. This is the first step for me in the fairly long process of becoming a counsellor, which I want to do in the future, alongside being a life coach.

Today I'll choose courage over comfort.
